Dr. David S. Kocher, DVM

Dr. David is a second generation veterinarian whom graduated from Ohio State University in 1973 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Towne & Country Animal Clinic was opened in 1946 by his father, Dr. Ralph Kocher, and is now owned by Dr. David. 

Dr. David's special area of interests in veterinary medicine include orthopedics and canine reproduction, including breeding Golden Retrievers. Dr. David is a firm believer in nutrition being the building block for a healthy pet, and has interests in nutrition as well as Healing Touch. Outside of the practice, his family consists of his wife 3 children and 5 grandchildren. 

When David is not at the clinic, he enjoys playing tennis, spending time in the outdoors gardening and hiking; he also has a great love of art and music. 

Dr. Melanie Oxley

Dr. Oxley grew up in Johnstown, Pennsylvania before she moved to Texas in 2017. She moved to Laredo, Texas to play softball for Texas A&M International University and receive her bachelor’s degree in biology. She then moved to College Station, Texas to attend Texas A&M University and join the College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2025. After graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, she practiced in Victoria, Texas before moving to Ohio with her husband, Tyler (Dr. Ox), and their 2 dogs, Archer and Remington. 

As a veterinarian, Dr. Oxley strives to optimize preventative medicine so your pets can live a long and healthy life at home with you, but is honored to provide care when health concerns arise. She is Fear Free and AVMA Veterinary First Responder certified. Dr. Oxley has a passion for diagnostic imaging and internal medicine and is eager to provide the quality care that your pet deserves.
